Agency matters, so starting in the 9th grade you will be able to select an art course, a language, two electives, and one DEALL trip or experience in addition to your 9th grade course work. And as you advance, more than 90 courses will be yours to choose from, including honors courses in nearly all disciplines and college-style, in-depth seminars.
For example, a 9th-grade Climate Academy which links World History and Biology courses through the study of the environment, climate change, and climate action.
Take advantage of leadership courses, 11 student organizations, 25 clubs, weekly student-run assemblies, and countless student-led workshops and events. This means that everyone develops their capacity to lead in meaningful ways. Plus every grade level has off-campus privileges, giving you the independence you want to compliment your leadership skills!
Through our DEALL program, Drew students have 25 options to choose from, such as traveling to NYC, Miami, or Joshua Tree! Additionally, there is an Elective Program with 18 offerings. This program connects your interests to learning and the real world in new ways, every week.

Arts are part of the core curriculum, meaning you can dedicate just as much time to the Arts as you do math. That’s more than 150 minutes a week on average. In addition to classes, students will participate in Art Shows, the Fall Play, the Spring Musical, and concerts.

The 415 Festival, for example, is an annual student-run festival dedicated to celebrating the city and the Drew community. Last year it featured two stages of live performances and three pop-up restaurants across three floors of the school.
