Dragon Captain's Corner

The fall season is off to a great start for the Drew Dragons. Hear from the team captains about how the season is shaping up:
Boys' Varsity Soccer
Boys varsity soccer has had a great start to the season. After a number of high-quality teams joined our league, we knew that this season would be very difficult, but we felt our great squad was prepared for the challenge.

We started our season with our annual retreat in the Marin Headlands that focused on team building and conditioning, putting us in a great spot for our upcoming season.

After the retreat, our focus was strong. We went 3-0-1 winning games against OMI(4-1) Realm Charter (7-0), Redwood Christian (6-0) and a tie vs College Prep (1-1).  During these non-league games, we all dusted off our skills and got back into the mindset to start league play winning games vs International (4-2), Bay School (2-1), Stuart Hall (1-0), and tying Gateway (0-0) and Lick-Wilmerding. Our overall record is 6-0-3, and our league record is 3-0-2.

We hope to continue our roll and welcome anyone to come to our games in the future—we love the support!

Girls' Volleyball
The Varsity Volleyball team has had a great season so far!

During labor day weekend, we participated in the Laguna Blanca tournament in Santa Barbara. While we were there, we also got a chance to see the University of California , Santa Barbara varsity volleyball team play against Baylor University. We saw some extremely competitive volleyball as a team.   Our trip not only gave us the chance to watch and play volleyball, but allowed our team to grow closer as well. We all had so much fun together.

Our current record is 8-4 overall and 2-1 in league. We have non-league wins against Fremont Christian (3-1), JCHS (3-0), Dunn (2-0), Brethren Christian (2-0), Coastal Christian (2-0) and Realm Charter (3-0). We have league wins vs Pescadero (3-0) and International (3-1).

We're all so excited to continuing playing together and we look forward to continuing our great season. We really hope to see all of you out at one of our upcoming matches!
